Los videoclips de Metallica en DVD

Desde el pasado día 11, se anuncia en la página oficial de Metallica, el lanzamiento en dvd de todos sus vídeos musicales desde 1989 hasta el 2004. El dvd saldrá a la venta en Europa el próximo 4 de diciembre y contendrá, además, el clip "2 of One", el trailer de la película "Some Kind of Monster" y versiones diferentes de "One" y de "Unforgiven".

Richard Ray Farrell

Anoche, el neoyorkino Richard Ray Farrell hizo un alto en Torre del Mar (Málaga, Spain), y nos deleito con un gran concierto de blues, rock y country en el Pub Harley. Lleva desde enero tocando por Estados Unidos, y hacía tan sólo cinco días que lo había hecho en Portugal. El concierto comenzó a las diez de la noche, y durante casi dos horas, nos hizo vibrar con un montón de temas que sonaron francamente bien, y que reflejaron todas sus influencias, desde Muddy Waters hasta Robert Johnson, pasando por BB King. Este artista, que lleva más de 25 años en la carretera, ha desarrollado la mayor parte de su carrera musical en Europa, de hecho, comenzó a tocar en el metro de Paris (1975). En 1980 tuvo a su hijo y junto con su esposa emigró a Alemanía en 1985, donde comenzó a tocar con una banda de blues en Stuttgart.

Richard, tiene editados 7 discos, el más reciente "Down Home Old School Country Blues" junto con el magnífico Steve Guyger, incluye el tema "Cool Cool Place To Go", que está teniendo mucho éxito en las emisoras especializadas. Yo me hice con el "Bohemian Life" del año 2003, cuyo corte del mismo título, fue elegido por Blues Deluxe y se emitió en 102 emisoras de todo el país.

Para mí ha sido un verdadero descubrimiento, y espero volver a verlo pronto por aquí, cosa que por otra parte, no es muy dificil porque a Richard le gusta pasar tiempo por estos lares.
